The Edge @ Allen Station Park

Located on the south end of Allen Station Park, the complex features a concrete skate park, two roller-hockey rinks, BMX track and Visitor Center. The skate park is now the largest outdoor facility of its kind in the state. Outdoor amenities operate as a traditional park facility with hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. for all skate areas. BMX track hours are from 8 a.m. to dusk. Use of the outdoor amenities is free and open to the public.

Scion Skate Park

Designed by world renowned Site Design Group with input from a focus group of local skateboard enthusiasts, the 33,000 sq. foot skate park will be the largest hybrid skating facility in the Metroplex. Features include deep bowl skating, plaza skating (Handrails, fun box, vertical ramps, pyramids, banked ramps, stairs) and above ground features for skaters of all ages and abilities. Covered seating areas are provided for spectators.

This portion of the park has received the most pre-opening inquiries of any section. Area skating enthusiasts and businesses will be contacted in regards to forming a support group for the park. They will be instrumental in promotional assistance and potential sponsor recruitment and recognition.

Lakeland Hills

The Lakeland Hills Skatepark is operated by the city of Dallas. Intended only for skateboarders, it is a free park designed by pro skater Dorian Tucker. However, the company that built the equipment, Skatewave, has come under fire for shoddy construction and materials at other locations. Lakeland Hills features street structures and quarterpipes, all made from artificial materials.
